This book is a small effort to address the most common medical issue which we come across in our everyday living i.e. back pain. While writing about this topic our main aim was to address those community members (doctors) who deal it most frequently and are the most common victim to it. Sadly enough, they are equally disabled by this condition. The book contains a thorough review of the problem including the basic anatomy of back, risk factors for developing back pain, causative agents, various treatment options, quick tips to relieve the symptoms, and a comprehensive home plan including the patient education.Literature has supported various interventions and their efficacy in the treatment of back pain. Although we have tried to cover all these intervention our main aim was to introduce the medical community to a safe working environment emphasizing the need to maintain a good posture, a pre requisite to every treatment plan.I hope that my efforts go well with the medical community and help create awareness regarding their back as they are the back bone of society. This will equally be implacable and beneficial to the patients visiting them as well as the community in general.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Invisible disabilities are disabilities that are not immediately apparent. Some people with visual or auditory impairments who do not wear glasses or hearing aids may not be obviously impaired. A sitting disability is another category of invisible impairments. Sitting problems are usually caused by chronic back pain. Those with joint problems or chronic pain may not use mobility aids on good days, or at all. Other examples include Asperger syndrome, attention disorders, brain injuries, chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, chemical sensitivities, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, and repetitive stress injuries. Invisible disabilities can also include chronic illnesses such as renal failure, diabetes, and sleep disorders if those diseases significantly impair normal activities of daily living. If a medical condition does not impair normal activities, then it is not a disability.

Spinal disc degeneration, which is known to be the main cause for back pain, can result in a multitude of spinal disorders such as segment instability, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, disc herniation, and discogenic back pain. The reason for disc degeneration involves a decrease in the concentration of living cells, a decline in the nutrient supply, accumulation of degraded extracellular matrix molecules, and exposure to heavy mechanical loading over a long period of time. Disc degeneration is significant healthcare problem that is in need of more reliable and cost-effective solutions. However, few effective treatment options are available at present, and treatment relies on disectomy, foraminotomy, laminectomy, or spinal segment fusions. The biological treatment of disc degeneration using tissue engineering techniques offers significant potential for minimizing the limitations of artificial discs and intensive surgery. Tissue engineering methods focus on repairing or regenerating the damaged tissue by culturing disc-specific cells with appropriate survival and growth and factors in a 3-D scaffolding that offers appropriate mechanical support.
